Inspiring a Love of Reading
Reception children at St Joseph’s Catholic Academy in Norton had a very exciting morning as they welcomed a special guest - Richard Drake from Drake: The Bookshop. Richard has been working closely with the school to help inspire a lifelong love of reading, and his visit brought huge excitement to the classroom.
Storytime With “Frank and Bert”
The children were completely captivated as Richard read the heart‑warming story Frank and Bert. From laughter to smiles to eager listening, the room was filled with joy as the story came to life. It was wonderful to see the children so engaged and enthusiastic.
A Generous Surprise
Adding to the excitement, Richard kindly donated a selection of fantastic books for the children to enjoy in class. These new stories will offer even more opportunities for shared reading, imagination and discovery.
