Coming Together as a School Family
St Joseph’s Catholic Academy enjoyed a truly wonderful celebration of the solemnity of St Joseph, bringing together pupils, staff, families and parishioners in a day filled with faith, community spirit and acts of kindness.
The whole school gathered for Mass, marking this special feast day with prayer and reflection. Following this, our Chaplains welcomed parents and parishioners to Thornton Hall for tea and coffee, creating a warm and welcoming space for fellowship.
Living Out Catholic Social Teaching in Action
Our Mini Vinnies embraced the call to service by visiting local care homes, where they delivered daffodils and handmade cards. Their kindness brought smiles and comfort to residents, beautifully embodying Catholic Social Teaching in a practical and heartfelt way.
Meanwhile, every class took part in a special RE lesson focused on learning more about St Joseph, his virtues and the example he sets for us today.
St Joseph’s Got Talent
The celebrations continued into the afternoon as the whole school gathered for St Joseph’s Got Talent. A huge well done to every act that performed — the confidence, creativity and enthusiasm on stage were inspiring to see. And of course, congratulations to our talented winners!
Celebrating Faith, Talent and Dignity
Throughout the day, we lived out our Catholic mission by celebrating our faith, honouring the dignity of every child, and showing solidarity through acts of service. It was a beautiful reminder of the strength of our school community and the values that unite us.
