Reception children at St Joseph's Catholic Academy in Norton embraced the beauty of the season during a special autumn walk around the school grounds.
The outdoor learning experience gave pupils the opportunity to explore the changing environment while developing their observation and communication skills.
Discovering the Signs of Autumn
As they explored, the children searched for a variety of autumn treasures, including colourful leaves, conkers and twigs.
They carefully observed what they found, discussing the different colours, shapes, sizes and textures they could see. The activity encouraged pupils to use new vocabulary while developing their understanding of the world around them.
Learning Through Outdoor Exploration
The autumn walk provided a fun and engaging way for children to connect with nature and learn through first-hand experiences.
Staff were delighted to see the pupils showing curiosity and enthusiasm as they explored the changing season and shared their discoveries with friends.
A Wonderful Outdoor Learning Experience
The activity was a fantastic opportunity for Reception children to develop their language skills, build confidence and enjoy learning outdoors.
Everyone had a wonderful time exploring the sights of autumn and discovering the seasonal changes around them.
