Exploring the Theme: “This Is Our Place”

At St Joseph’s Catholic Academy in Norton, we embraced Children’s Mental Health Week with the uplifting theme “This Is Our Place.”
Across school, children reflected on what it means to belong, feel valued, and play an important role in their community.

Through whole-class mosaics, island‑themed creations, calm breathing, dancing, and expressive activities, pupils explored their unique identities and the things that make our school family such a special place.

Living Out Catholic Social Teaching and British Values

The week gave children meaningful ways to live out the Catholic Social Teaching principles of Human Dignity and Community & Participation.
They recognised that every child is cherished, respected, and supported within our community.

They also explored British Values - Mutual Respect, Individual Liberty, and Tolerance - celebrating differences, expressing themselves freely, and helping build a caring, inclusive environment.

Proud of Our School Family

We are incredibly proud of how our pupils embraced the theme and supported one another.
Our St Joseph’s community continues to shine with kindness, respect, and togetherness.
