Our Year 6 pupils had an unforgettable experience visiting the Houses of Parliament in London! They explored the historic building, learning about how laws are made and the vital role of democracy in shaping our country.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting our local MP, Chris Macdonald. The children asked thoughtful and challenging questions about how he can help improve Norton, showing incredible confidence and maturity. Mr. Macdonald was impressed and praised the pupils for their positive attitude and respectful behaviour throughout the visit.

The trip didn’t end there – the children also enjoyed seeing some of London’s most iconic landmarks, making the day even more memorable! This visit was a fantastic opportunity to see British Values in action – especially Democracy – and to understand how every voice matters in shaping our community and country.

Year 6 truly were role models for our school, demonstrating curiosity, respect, and responsibility at every stage of the day. We are so proud of them!
