Attendance Incentives, Rewards & Celebrations

Adults talk to children regularly about the importance of attending school. We have many incentives in place to promote and celebrate school, class and individual attendance.

Each week the class with the best attendance is rewarded with £5 to be put in their class piggy bank. At the end of each term each class decide how they would like to spend the attendance money earned. Each classroom has a piggy bank display so they can see their money rewards. In Nursery, children with 100% attendance each week are rewarded with a sticker. If a class achieves 100% attendance for a full half term they are rewarded with a 100% party!

Each half term children with 100% attendance are entered into a prize draw, where they have the opportunity to win tickets to e.g Jump 360, Ice Skating.

Each term attendance badges are given to children. Pupils received a bronze 100% badge for full attendance in a term, a silver 100% for full attendance over 2 terms and a gold 100% badge for full attendance over 3 terms.

Weekly social media communication with parents/carers outlining; school attendance target, current weekly whole school and class attendance. There is attendance information on our website for parents to access.

Medical Appointments

Medical appointments should be made outside of school hours, if this is not possible, the school office will need to see confirmation of the appointment for our records.

If your child has suffered from sickness or diarrhea they must not return to school for 48. If you are unsure as to whether your child is well enough to attend school, the following link gives clear guidance.
