A Day Full of Learning and Teamwork
Year 5 pupils from St Joseph’s Catholic Academy in Norton enjoyed a fantastic and busy taster day at St Michael’s Catholic Academy this week.
The day began with an exciting Maths relay, which encouraged pupils to think critically, solve problems and work together as a team. Their enthusiasm and collaboration set the tone for a successful day of learning.
Developing New Skills Across the Curriculum
Pupils then took part in a Food Technology lesson, where they baked delicious chocolate chip cookies. As well as developing their cooking skills, the children demonstrated excellent teamwork and responsibility, ensuring that all equipment was cleaned and the classroom was left spotless.
The day continued with an energetic PE session, where pupils participated with positivity and enthusiasm, before ending with a hands-on Science experiment that sparked curiosity and excitement.
Thank You for a Fantastic Experience
The taster day provided a valuable opportunity for pupils to experience secondary school life while exploring a variety of subjects in a new learning environment.
A huge thank you to St Michael’s Catholic Academy for hosting the visit, to the staff for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons, and to the Year 9 pupils whose support throughout the day was greatly appreciated.
