Class 3 from St Joseph’s Catholic Academy in Norton enjoyed a fun and engaging visit to Wynyard Woodland Park, taking part in a literacy trail inspired by The Smeds and the Smoos.

Learning Through Outdoor Adventure

The literacy trail gave pupils the chance to explore the story in a creative way, combining reading, movement and outdoor learning. As they made their way around the park, children completed a range of themed activities linked to the book.

Developing Skills Through Play

The activities encouraged pupils to build a variety of skills, from communication and teamwork to imagination and problem-solving. Learning outside the classroom helped bring the story to life in an exciting and memorable way.
