The Holy Rosary
During October, the month of Our Blessed Lady, our particular focus is the Holy Rosary. Each year, we offer an after-school Rosary workshop for pupils and parents to attend, in our school hall. This is an increasingly popular event, which begins with an introduction to the Rosary, and ends with each child taking home their very own set of handmade Rosary beads.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our ‘Home Rosary Workshop’.
Remembrance Day
Each year during the month of November, St. Joseph’s pupils and their parents have the opportunity to take part in a project to mark Remembrance Day. In 2019, in honour of the 90 soldiers from Norton who lost their lives in WWI and also to mark Armistices day, participating families together made poppies. These poppies were combined to create a beautiful commemorative school display.
Advent Workshop
We had a wonderful time at our after school Advent Workshop after school. The children and their families made Advent wreaths, baubles, angels and Christmas trees. It was so lovely to see so many people in school.
How wonderful to see so many of our families participating in our home family nativity workshop. We hope you enjoyed creating your nativity scene together as a family and retelling the wonderful story of the birth of Jesus.
‘The nativity scene is like a living Gospel… I encourage the beautiful family tradition of preparing the nativity scene at home, in the workplace, in schools, hospitals and town squares.’ ~ Pope Francis
